Q: How do I upload files to the Internet?
A: You will need to download and configure the program WS_FTP, here's how:
1. If you do not have WS_FTP, you can download it Here
You will need WinZip to open this file after you download it. If you do not have WinZip, you can download it Here
After you have downloaded and installed WS_FTP, you are ready to continue on with these instructions
2. Double click on the icon for the WS_FTP program
3. Click on "New"
4. Type in a "Profile Name"; this can be any name
5. Type in for the Host Name: www.airstreamcomm.net
6. Be sure the Host Type is on "Automatic"
7. Type in your "username" in the User ID field
8. Type in your "password" in the Password field
9. Check mark "Save Password"
10. Click on the "Startup" Tab
11. Type in 'public_html' in the "Initial Remote Site Folder", "Remote Host" or "Remote Dir" field
12. Click on "Apply" to save the settings
NOTE:
Dial-Up customers of West Wisconsin Telcom and 24-7 Telcom are allowed a maximum of 1 MB of web space on the server.
Please contact us if you need more web space, an additional 50 MB is available for $10.00/month.
